My love for makeup started about 15 years ago. I was given a book by my mom titled Making Faces (Thank you Mom!), it was a professional artist book that shared tips and tricks on how to apply makeup for specific looks. I would spend hours at a time looking through the pages and literally trying to recreate every single one. Slowly I started to purchase more and more products and would simply “play around,” teaching myself that there is no perfect way to wear makeup. With plenty of different ways and time to develop skill my experiences through trial and error, and my practice, made perfect!
My freelance business unexpectedly began In June of 2015. I was asked to do a family members makeup for her Mexico wedding, without hesitation I had committed to entire the bridal party I packed my kit (and my nerves!) and headed out to Mexico. Upon my return I was gifted with the startup of "my business" which included my website and Instagram account. I didn't really know what I was getting into but I knew if it had my name on it I was going to own it the best as I possibly could and take ownership in my work as well as the function of my business. Within my first week of advertising my new adventure I hit the ground running and managed to get through my first 6 bookings in just 8 weeks, developing skill and knowledge with each and every application. During this time I realized I was adamant and committed to continued growth and development of my skills and I signed up for a local makeup course to earn my certification in sanitation and basic application.
Each year my business grows and with each and every booking I make it a point to give my clients the absolute best experience possible. My clients are my first priority, and making sure their special occasion is all they imagine is my main goal. I'm so incredibly appreciative and grateful for each and every one of my clients who has utilized me thus far. I understand the importance of trust that goes into finding an artist for your special occasion and I Love the opportunities I receive to do what i love and apply makeup with so many diverse ideas through each client. I plan to always be a student in this practice in order to remain and grow into more success. I'm a firm believer that every girl deserves to feel beautiful, and I hope to prove to my clients that makeup is not an application to turn someone beautiful, but to simply magnify the beauty that already exists.
